Research Topics: Norwegian Ties
Founded by Norwegian Lutheran Americans, Concordia has maintained a strong connection to heritage throughout its history. Due to this foundation, the College has continued several Norwegian traditions and has played host to the country’s ambassadors and monarchy. Not only has Norway come to us, but Concordia has gone to Norway through sending hundreds of students on May Seminars, international music tours, and semester abroad programs.
Records in the College Archives document these ties to Norway. Some possible research topics include Ivar Aasen and Hans Nilsen Hauge, royal visits to Concordia, international music tours and study abroad programs, and examining the college's curriculum. These records include photographs, documents, manuscripts, and more.
