Resources & Services for Educators

K - 12 Classroom Visits
We welcome and encourage visits from elementary and secondary students so that they can experience archival documents and processes at an early age. Archival literacy will benefit these students in understanding the role of primary sources in research as well as the wide array of materials available for research purposes.

Classroom Resources
The Concordia College Archives is committed to developing resources that allow educators to incorporate primary resources into their curriculum.

National History Day
In recent years, the Concordia College Archives has provided archival materials for students involved in the National History Day project for both individual research projects and entire classes. For more information about National History Day, visit the National History Day Toolkit.

Using Archives: A Guide to Effective Research
The Society of American Archivists (SAA) provides a guide that addresses the functions and procedures of archives to assist you in accomplishing your research goals at any archival institution. Click the button below to download this guide by Laura Schmidt.
